As the new year unfolds, the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports (MoYDS) looks back on a successful launch of two pivotal documents that will shape the future of youth and sports engagement and development in Vanuatu. The Coprorate Plan 2024 - 2028 and the Youth Sectoral Strategic Plan 2023 - 2033. The event, which took place on March 15th of last year 2024, marked a significan milestone in thinistry's efforts to foster an inclusive and thriving environment for the young population of Vanuatu.
The Youth Sectoral Strategic Plan serves as a comprehensive 10-year roadmap for Integral Youth Development, aligning closely with the ambitious goals outlined in the National Sustainable Development Plan, Vanuatu 2030. This strategic plan not only emphasizes the Ministry's commitment to revitalizing youth engagement but also reflects our collective vision for a brighter future, setting a clear path for progress and innovation in the youth sector.
As part of the national vision, the Ministry has articulated a dedicated vision for youth development by 2033, focusing on holistic growth that encompasses educational opportunities, job readiness, health and well-being, and active civic participation. The strategies outlined in these plans will ensure that we harness the potential of our youth, empowering them to become active contributors to their communities and the nation at large.
The Corporate Plan 2024 - 2028 serves as a guiding document for the Ministry's operations, outlining key objectives and strategies to achieve the goals set in the Youth Sectoral Strategic Plan. Through this comprehensive plan, the Ministry is committed to enhancing its capacity to deliver quality services to the youth of Vanuatu, leveraging resources effectively, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve the vision outlined in these documents.
