PENAMA PROVINCIAL INFORMATION

The province of PENAMA consists of the islands of Pentecost, Ambae and Maewo with an approximate population of 30,000, the majority being young people. Willie Leo is the PENAMA Provincial Youth & Sports Officer based on the island of Ambae with responsibilities that cover all three islands. There is also a Provincial Youth Council for PENAMA that is governed under the Vanuatu National Youth Council.

The current PENAMA Provincial Youth President is Keith Gama from the island of Ambae. Some of the major youth and sports events that are happening this year 2018 for PENAMA province are the Inter-Secondary School Games, preparation for the National Games, and participation at the International Youth Week to be held in Port Vila in August of this year 2018.
