SANMA PROVINCE

The province of SANMA consists of the islands of Santo and Malo. There is a Provincial Youth & Sports Officer based on the island of Santo with responsibilities that cover the two islands. There is also Provincial Youth Council for SANMA that is governed under the Vanuatu National Youth Council.

The current SANMA Provincial Youth President is Sam Vula from the island of Santo. SANMA also accommodates the municipality of Luganville which has its own Youth Council led by Johnny Varengele who is originally from the island of Paama but now resides in Luganville. 

Some of the major youth and sports events that are happening this year 2018 for SANMA province are the Inter-Secondary School Games, preparation for the National Games, and participation at the International Youth Week to be held in Port Vila in August 2018.

LUGANVILLE MUNICIPALITY 

Luganville is the second largest municipality of Vanuatu, it is located on the island of Santo in Vanuatu's north. Luganville has a population of just over 20,000 people and young people make up a good majority of the population. The Luganville Youth Council is led by its President Mr. Johnny Varengele.
