Vanuatu is made up of 80 islands that fall under 5 different provinces. Torba, Penama, Sanma, Malampa, Shefa and Tafea are the five provinces of Vanuatu, all having active youth development groups and initiatives under the MoYSD. The National Youth Policy aims to find possible ways to address issues affecting youths in communities and to solve issues by writing projects for youth in all of the provinces of Vanuatu.


 

Penama Province 

The province of Penama is working to create a Youth Council and assist the L.O.C. in hosting a National Youth Day. The Lolowai Parish Sports Association encourages unity and stability in the Anglican faith in the Lolowai Parish, promoting health awareness and interest in sports and healthy, active lifestyles for the youth.

Tafea Province

Information on youth and sports development in the Tafea Province is coming soon. The Tafea Province includes the five main islands of Tanna, Aneityum, Futuna, Erromango and Aniwa. The Tafea Province is the southern most islands in Vanuatu.

Shefa Province

The Shefa Province is located in the center of the country of Vanuatu and includes the main islands of Epi and Efate. Port Vila hosts the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, acting as the hub of information and communication for youth and sports in Vanuatu. Currently, in the Port Vila office, preparation for the Pac 2016 games are underway, as well as preparation for the Van 2017 games next year.

Malampa Province

Information on youth and sports development in the Malampa Province is coming soon. The Malampa Province is located in the center of the country of Vanuatu and consists of three main islands: Malakula, Ambrym and Paama. The Malamp Province also includes a number of other smaller islands, Uripiv, Norsup, Rano, Wala, Atchin and Vao off the coast of Malakula, also the volcanic island of Lopevi.

Sanma Province

The Sanma Province consists of the nation's largest island Espiritu Santo and Malo, and is located in the northern part of the nation of islands. Luganville is located on Santo and has an active Youth Council, aiming to provide resources for the youth of Luganville. Football teams, transparency initiatives and preparation for the Van 2017 Games are currently happening in the Sanma Province.

Torba Province

Information on youth and sports development in the Torba Province is coming soon. The Torba Province consists of the Banks Islands and Torres Islands and are the northern most islands in the nation of Vanuatu.
